Team TGM will make the switch to competing with Ford Racing in the IMSA Michelin Pilot

Challenge in 2026. After three seasons of competing in Aston Martin machinery, the Ted

Giovanis-owned racing team has partnered up with The Blue Oval to field a pair of Ford Mustang GT4 race cars for all ten rounds in the GS class next season. The team will carry its tried-and-true driver lineup into 2026 across both its No. 46 and No. 64 entries.

Giovanis and Hugh Plumb are set to continue their multi-title winning effort in the No. 64 Mustang GT4, with Plumb’s brother, veteran and two-time Pilot Challenge champion Matt Plumb teaming up with Paul Holton in the No. 46 Mustang GT4. The two four-hour contests at Daytona International Speedway and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will see the addition of a third, yet-to-be confirmed driver.

Team TGM is aiming to use its new partnership with Ford Racing to continue driving the success they’ve built over the last few seasons in the series, with the team having started their dual-car 2025 campaign as the reigning Teams’ Champions, Matt Plumb as GS class Drivers’ Champion, and team owner Ted Giovanis and co-driver Hugh Plumb as the defending Bronze Cup Champions.

In 2025, Giovanis and Hugh Plumb continued their fine run of form, securing their second Bronze Cup title in as many years and doing so in dominant fashion, with a third-place finish or better in the Bronze Cup in every round of the season including winning five of the ten rounds on the 2025 calendar.

“Reflecting back on TGM’s successes, we have had two GS Driver Championships, two GS Team Championships and two GS Bronze Championships,” said Ted Giovanis. “Looking at it that way, we have accomplished a lot.

“But now, we are turning the page and eagerly looking to work with a great manufacturer like

Ford. They have tons of resources, dedication and the drive to win, as do we. We can’t wait for the season to begin so we can explore our new platform on track and continue those successes with Ford.”

“I’m extremely grateful to be part of the Ford Racing family alongside Team TGM and this

incredible group of people,” said Hugh Plumb. “As a team, we’ve had a lot of success — and

thanks to our owners, Ted and Kristina Giovanis, whose vision and leadership continue to make it all possible.

“I’m proud to work with great people who are not only winning on track, but also moving the

needle in the broader world — supporting groundbreaking cancer research through the JKTG Foundation.

“Bringing Ford Racing into the mix for 2026 is a big step forward for us. As much as I hate the

saying ‘if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em,’ I could not feel more confident to become a part of a team that has such a winning legacy.”

“There is plenty new for 2026, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is our goal of race wins and another championship,” added Matt Plumb. “This partnership with Ford Racing and Multimatic Motorsports with the new Ford Mustang GT4 is an incredible step towards making this happen. I am really looking forward to getting behind the wheel to see what we can do with it!”

“I’m incredibly excited to carry the momentum from our championship season into 2026 with our new Ford Mustang GT4’s,” Paul Holton said. “Partnering with a manufacturer that shares our passion and commitment to excellence gives me tremendous confidence in what’s ahead.

“I’m also very thankful to be continuing alongside Matt Plumb and the entire TGM team—this

group has been like family, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in this next

chapter.”

Since its competitive debut in 2024, the global Ford Racing Mustang GT4 program has cultivated success in numerous regional GT4-spec series across four continents, which includes Michelin Pilot Challenge. Over the last few years, the Mustang GT4 platform has proven its competitiveness, which includes: 2024 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia series championship titles, with breakthrough pole and race winning and performances throughout the 2025 Michelin Pilot Challenge season .

“Since launching the all-new Mustang GT4 in 2024, we have proven that this is a winning platform on four continents,” said Alex Allmandinger, Ford Racing Global Sports Car Manager. “Success is driven by good partners — from Multimatic Motorsports and our Ford Racing engineers, to our customers. We are proud to welcome Team TGM, a proven championship caliber program, to the Ford family.”

TGM and Giovanis’ mission extends beyond chasing success at the race track, however. The Jayne Koskinas Ted Giovanis Foundation for Health and Policy has a mission of driving research both on and off the racetrack to better diagnose, fight, and beat cancer, with an emphasis on breast cancer. The team will proudly continue to bear the foundation’s name and its now iconic #DrivingResearch’ hashtag to not only bring awareness to the foundation and its mission, but also serve as a reminder to fans and competitors alike of TGM’s mission of achieving success both on the track and in the lab.

“In racing it is important from an engineering perspective to understand the car and how it might respond to select inputs before making changes,” said Giovanis. “In cancer research, things are no different in that we need to understand how cancer invades the cells and the underlying communication among the cells.

“We need this type of understanding before developing therapeutics to treat the cancer which does not uniformly occur. Through this understanding-based approach, we are literally driving research in a better, more targeted direction.”

Whether it's in the lab or on the track, Team TGM chases excellence and victory in everything they do. Success on the Pilot Challenge grid is made sweeter by the gains made in the laboratory, and the Ford Racing partnership with TGM unites one of the most successful and iconic names in American auto racing with an all-American racing team, with a shared mission of using motorsports to drive research and development, while fighting for wins and championships on track.
