ATLANTA, GA (Tuesday, March 11, 2024) — Coming off a double podium at Daytona in the first round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, Team TGM is looking to improve on its effort with a win at Sebring International Raceway.

With a third-place overall finish at Daytona and capturing the Bronze Cup win, the team has tested at the World War II airport race track which is known for its incredible bumps.

“The track is a favorite, but it will beat you up. Its roughness is well known, with the tag ‘respect the bumps,’ but together, our drivers have many, many laps at this place, whether with IMSA, International GT, or other series,” said team owner and driver Ted Giovanis.

“We have a slightly different driver lineup for this race, with Matt partnering with Paul Holton for this event.

“Paul has great sports car racing experience and will be an asset to the #46 car. Matt and Paul have driven together before and have a good driving relationship.”

Team TGM will be visiting a local hospital to support the Austin Hatcher Foundation on Tuesday, March 12. The Foundation provides diversionary therapy to children’s cancer centers throughout the US. In addition to the driver’s appearance, the foundation will be holding an auction with famed motorsports artist Bill Patterson https://www.hatcherfoundation.org

The #64 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will have the same lineup with Ted Giovanis and Hugh Plumb sharing the driving duties. The team will take to the track on Wednesday for practice 1 and race on Friday.

Ted Giovanis - We have tested here and have done a lot of laps around this track. Going back to the traditional two-hour format race, we are very confident in placing in the top 10 and capturing the Bronze Cup again. Hugh and I are learning each other’s driving styles and capitalizing on the experience we both bring to the Aston Martin.

Matt Plumb - “Although Sebring is a tough track, maybe the most physically taxing of the series, it’s one of my favorites. We are coming off a podium at Daytona, and I have every reason to think we can repeat at Sebring. We’re going for a championship, so it is all about consistency and anywhere on the podium is important, but we want the top step.”

LIFE LESSONS FROM RACING

FOCUS FORWARD

Life comes at you fast when you’re traveling 180 miles per hour. For Ted Giovanis, it’s also where you can learn the most valuable lessons. Since becoming a race car driver three decades ago at age forty-six—a ride that is still in overdrive—Giovanis has discovered how the tools of racing and the teamwork within it are applicable to life and business. In forty-eight motivating and, at times, exhilarating chapters, he shares his experience and knowledge.
