TORONTO, CANADA (Thursday, June 30 , 2022) – Team TGM is headed to Canada with a great record at the former home of the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park – formerly known as Mosport.
TGM ace Owen Trinkler holds the track record here and scored the pole in 2019, won in 2017 and is a regular on the podium. He will again team with Ted Giovanis here this weekend.
Brother Matt and Hugh Plumb are looking forward to bouncing back this weekend after an unfortunately timed full-course yellow at Watkins Glen took them out of contention.
The team will have its sights set on a strong performance this week at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park where they have had so much success in the past.

“It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Canada and it will be good to go back. We have kind of a love/hate relationship with Canadian Tire Motorsports Park – Owen holds the track record for the GS category but I had a difficult incident there in 2017 which resulted in surgery. The track is challenging but fun and the Canadian fans are awesome!! I can’t wait to get back in front of them.”

“Canadian Tire Motorsports Park is one of my favorite tracks. It’s been a few years since we’ve been there but I hold the track record in the GS category and 16 podium finishes in 17 years, including a win in 2017, so obviously it’s a place I like.
“We had a good race at Watkins Glen, Ted did a great job and together we advanced 13 spaces from start to finish. We’ve had good success in Canada so everyone on the team is looking forward to returning to CTMP.”
